Mammoth Mountain
Mammoth Mountain is one of the hot stops for Gay Ski week. The mountain range boasts the highest summit elevation in the state of California at 11,053 ft and is situated just west of Mammoth Lakes and is in the Inyo National Forest. It averages an impressive 400 inches of annual snowfall and has one of the longest ski seasons in the state.
The West Hollywood-based GLBT event promoter Tom Whitman organizes one of the most glamorous gay ski parties in California during Gay Ski Weeks called, Elevation Mammoth Gay Ski Week. The event is one of the biggest among gay ski enthusiasts and is a great way to meet new friends and ski or snowboard one of the gnarliest mountain ranges in California.
